HDR with a D40

Anyone know how to do? I've been trying to figure it out forever.

Yes, it's possible, you just have to bracket manually with a tripod. Whether you want to bracket with shutter, aperture, exposure compensation or any combination of those (among other things) is up to you. I find that shutter works best.

Click. Turn the command dial a couple of notches.
Click. Turn the command dial a couple of notches.

No!.. don't bracket with aperture, that changes DOF!
Just use shutter speed to change the exposure... this may require a troipod.
