Hecla Island

Hecla is one of the two biggest islands (1084 km2) on Lake Winnipeg, the eleventh-biggest largest freshwater lake on Earth. There are two inhabited villages on the island and also a hotel, an inn and a B&B; when you're there, though, you get this feeling of loneliness, which is what I tried to portray here.

Sure. Settings were f/11, 186 seconds, ISO 100. I used a tripod, a cable release and a 10-stop ND filter. It was raining slightly, but the long exposure made the rain invisible.
