It means hello in swedish.
Photography has always been a more or less active hobby in my life. In younger days I was more interested in gear, now my focus is much more on finding things to take pictures of.
So, some kind of philosophy:
I have come to the conclusion that I want to put my energy in the photo, rather than in the gear and all the options and adjustments todays gear so much provokes me with. Choose this, choose that...
Technically superb pictures whithout expression is something I try to avoid. Whether I succeed in that ambition is another matter. I usually think more about framing, angle and komposition than correct exposure, perfect white-balance, low noise or "gear-challenging photos".
Of course some of those things are important, but mainly because getting them wrong will distract the eye from the idea of the picture. I think that getting rid of visual distractions is very important. But only if the Picture is interesting. If it is not, the distractions does not matter.
I can therefore spend time on picking away small disturbing elements that draws attention from the idea. For example small bright spots, small pieces of litter in the street, something disturbing at the edges or the fact that the side proportions must be changed to harmonize with the main elements.
Thank you for Reading.
