Hellgate Canyon Bridge...

I recently moved from San Diego to Portland, Oregon, and took advantage of the photo ops during the drive.

This is the bridge over Hellgate Canyon, near Merlin, in southern Oregon:

What do you see the HDR as doing, here? Both technically, and artistically.

The stark geometrical design of the railings and bridge are, by the processing, emphasized against the irregular shapes of nature in which it was placed. Man's lesser order, set against a higher order.

Images don't have to be about anything to be worthy; they merely need to evoke a truth, which might well be different for different people. whatever his intent, it worked for me.

(edit; I first wrote "Poems" instead of "images." I see this as a visual poem.)

Sorry, but I don't necessarily believe that a photo, HDR or otherwise, has to "do" anything.

It's a picture.
