What's new

Hello All, first post please critize me

Tell us why you tilted the camera so much for #4 and #5.

In other words, how does the tilt effect those 2 photos in a positive way?

To be honest, I have no idea. Is this something I shouldnt be doing?

I think the point is there needs to be a reason for the tilt. You don't tilt just to tilt. Does it give you a different, more interesting perspective, will it look bad with a level background, when you put it in a frame will the tilt look silly?

Does the tilt add in anyway to the feel of the picture?

Ok, I understand now what you are saying. Just part of the learning curve . Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated

No problem. Its A LOT of trial and error. The most important person to satisfy is yourself... or the client. Shoot shoot and shoot some more. You'll get the feel for it and it will become a nice love/hate relationship. :sexywink:

I figured that much, I was a little satisfied off a few of those but Im still learning and have alot more to learn. Im starting to get a feel of what to look for and what will make good shots and what wont. Im just going to keep shooting and shooting :D

Actually, there is only a lot of trial and error if you don't undertake a study of the visual arts.

People have been doing photography for over 150 years now. Various visual art compositional guidelines have been proved effective (or proved ineffective) in the several thousand years humans have been producing visual arts.

Trial and error dooms one to repeating all the mistakes made in those several thousand years.

Here are just some of the tried and proven guideline for visual art composition: Guidelines for Better Photographic Composition: Introduction

The most important consideration ofr photography is the lighting.
