Hello guys and gals, Im Danny from South Florida. I had some photo experience shooting for a HS and college ring company that added a photo division at around the time I graduated high school back in '06, they showed me the ropes and I got hooked from there. Right now I'm an electrical engineering student, shooting mostly for fun and hobby, sometimes doing HD video for parties and live entertainment acts for a few bucks.
I'm a canon guy, never really shot with a nikon body (used a 20D for work with a full light setup, now shooting with a newer 60D and SL1). Jumped on the manual focus craze after I got some adapters to use my pop's old pentax 50mm 2.0 (great little lens), then the collection grew. I tried to get different brands for each focal length just to test the waters, my favorite lens series is probably nikkor ai-s (my 20mm 2.8 is a dream to use, at least for me!) and I'm looking to grab a 105mm 1.8 or 135 2.0 ai-s for low light head shots/video/maybe some birding.
I mostly enjoy shooting anything aesthetically interesting, old cars, architecture, quirky things, macros of otherwise mundane objects, my dog, and all the botanical variety we have down here in south florida.
here's my flickr if anybody wants to check it out! I'm a low ISO junkie, sometimes using lightroom to process RAWs and drop luminance on blue skies so it's not bleached white, etc. www.flickr.com/photos/quencho . I look forward to hearing critiques on my shots and enjoying all of the photo art the the forum has to offer from all of you guys!
