Hi, I'm DJ and I'm relatively new to the world of photography (meaning I own a camera and like to wander around going 'oooooh, pretty *snap* and this mostly after the birth of my absolutely gorgeous and photogenic daughter last year). I stumbled across this forum while I should have been working on flow diagrams (photography is much more interesting, don't you think? 
) and plan to spend the rest of the morning being inspired and enthusiastic about my new hobby instead of programming. 
Seriously, though, I am happy I found this forum, and I look forward to getting better acquainted with many of you, and perhaps learning how to turn the auto-focus OFF my camera. Cheers!
