Hi everyone!
My name is Kristian, I live in Finland and I'm 23 years old. I've been photographing since 2005 and I have a bachelor's degree in visual expressions. I focused my studies mainly on photography back then, so you could say that I'm a "professional photographer", but I don't actually work as one currently. I live in a small town and there are not that many photographers needed here, so finding a job is very difficult for me. However, I have some of my photographs on sale in a couple of microstock agencies, I'm doing quite well even though my portfolio is really tiny.
My gear is nothing special, currently I'm using Canon EOS 550D, and the lens I use mostly is the Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD SP Aspherical. For post processing GIMP is my choice, simply because it's free and does pretty much everything I need. I still prefer Photoshop though, I got used to it during my school days so I'll be getting a license when I can afford one.
While it's been a while since I started my photography hobby, I don't think that I know it all or that I can't improve anymore. That would be silly! I think photography (along with all the other forms of art) is something you cannot master, there is always room for improvement. That's why I joined this community. I wish to learn many new things from all of you, while sharing all the things I'm good at.
