Hello from Las Vegas

Hello out there. I recently bought a DSLR because I felt my point and shoot was holding me back from the quality of pictures that I really want to take. I am a stay at home mom of 3, working on writing a book and taking pictures helps me creative outlet at times.
I bought the Canon SL1 with 18- 55mm STM lens and 75- 300mm lens, debating on getting a 40mm pancake lens. I really like this camera so far because it is great for a beginner for DSLRs and I cant wait to learn more and improve my photography skills.

Here are a few photos that I have taken. One is a macro picture which I really enjoy doing. I have been using Gimp to edit and adapt some of my photos so thats also been fun, teaming new skills together.

What camera are you guys using? How do you like it and what lens do you have.

i use a point and shoot sort of camera most of the time. i heard the sl1 is a excellent camera for the price.
