Hello all,
Wanted to give a quick introduction of myself....
Found TPF while searching the 'Net one day, looking for photo-related stuff. Looked like an excellent forum to be part of, chock full of interesting and useful information. Bringing a "somewhat" knowledgeable amateur photography foundation to the forum.
I am by NO means proficient; but, I feel I have a decent understanding of the concepts behind this fantastic hobby. Hopefully will build on this, with the knowledge that you guys and gals will be willing to share with me.
Recently, purchased my first serious attempt at getting back into the hobby (a Nikon D5100 w/ 18-55mm kit lens - my pride and joy, until I can get enough spending money to lay down for a D7100). Started out as a teenager with an old Canon AE-1 Program (film); then fell out of the hobby until here recently....
