My name is Allan, and I am new to this forum though have been a casual photographer for 40 years.

My area of interest lies in nature. landscapes, Travel, wildlife and astrophotography. Hopefully I will learn a lot from the members here though I doubt I have the knowledge to contribute much in the way of guidance.

My kit is fairly basic, Canon 550d, 17-55mm f2.8 usm, 100mm macro, 300mm F4 L usm, 28-80 3.5 kit lens, velbon graphite tripod, Ioptron ZEQ25 mount holding a 120mm f5 short focus sky watcher refractor. Various accessories.

Great to be here, you all seem very supportive from the posts I have read thus far.

Allan, when you have time, share some of the pics you've taken. After 40 years of taking photographs...you're bound to have a few "gems" you can share. Good to see so many others enjoying this incredible world of photography.
