Hello from North Louisiana

My name is Mick. I became serious about taking pictures as a teenage adult in 1978. I had some kind of Minolta but got discouraged and quit. Got a Pentax K1000 about 1988 and had a lot of fun with it till 1992 and quit again. Used a cheap Nikon P&S for the last few years and finally got my first DSLR this Fall. I got a Nikon D5000 and have enjoyed it very much. I wish it had a larger viewfinder and LCD. Got the kit 18-55 and then a 35mm 1.8 fixed lens.
