I had "eyelids" on my GTI which, apparently in the US, are not legal... ...as were the after market exhaust, interior neon lighting and probably several other things I'm forgetting. RIP

Click to expand... It is OK for now, but the European Union wants to introduce new rules that ban ANY post factory modifications. And that includes different windscreen wipers, exhausts etc. That can also make most classic cars illegal.
