Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello,....
Just found "thephotoforum" today.
Am somewhat new to social networking since I do not use facebook, twitter and such.

Thought I'd explore a little photo networking though since I have enjoyed many aspects of image making over the years and enjoy all areas of exchange.

Am trying to find my way around the site slowly.
I am interested in creating an album with a theme. Not having much luck figuring it out though.
Any comments and direction to ease my trial and error is appreciated.

I have posted several images under the "Photo Gallery" heading at the top of page.
As I view others posts, images, comments and dialog I will try to input more meaningful content as I take part

Is there typical information that the overall group likes to see with each image?
Are associated facts about images of interest to others when posting photographs?

Will attach an image or two here to kinda get things going as I feel my way around.
Thank you in advance for any and all comments.
I look forward to being a new member.
Martys

This was also posted at b&w forum. Am trying to figure out where and how to input image info vs end result after doing so.

The Casca and Whitehorse riverboat paddlewheelers,
This image of the two riverboats, Casca and Whitehorse were taken in Whitehorse Junction, Yukon Territory, Canada in 1971.
(They both have since been destroyed by fire)
The sun was setting directly behind the boats that were high and dry on the bank of the Yukon river.
Camera: Nikon S2 w/ 50mm 1.4 lens, on tripod, Tri-X b&w film, ASA 400, self processed.
Negative scanned with Nikon LS4000 ED film scanner using Lasersoft Silverfast Ai software.

Welcome to the forum, enjoy. Nice shots

Welcome :)

#1: That's stunning. You used a Casio EX-Z850? It's a very nice photo!

#2: Also very good. The heavy grain seems appropriate for the industrial rot in the image. I like it.

The first image is great, reminds me of Pirates of the Carribeans for some reason.

Thanks for your comments Jaemie

I viewed all your images,...I like the clarity in your macros,...my favorite image I think is the green ivy leaves against the marble or slate wall. The colors compliment the image nicely and the simplicity makes the photograph work.
You have an interesting view point,..thanks fo the link to your work.

Hello Charlie.
I'm Marty,....new to TPF.

I just browsed your link of images. Your macros are superb,...wow makes me want to throw all my images away and start all over again. Nice, nice work sir!
I'll be going back later to view them even closer,...great depth of sharpness and your focus planes are right spot on.
Whatever your equipment choice and personal technique are,..you certainly do justice to the images you create.

Thank you for taking time to look. The vine is not against marble or slate. That's actually an aluminum-sided control booth for the train crossing. I really liked the contrast also. :)
