well i am very new to photography, i have just purchased my first DSLR camera from WOLF's camera. It is the Nikon D80 kit with the 18-55mm lens and i also purchased the sb800, and a nikor 60mm macro lens. just a quick tid bit about why i purchased the camera is i have a great passion for field herping (finding reptiles & amphibians in the wild) its great fun and half of it to me is photographing them and i got tired of my point and shoot so i upgraded i have not had the opertunity to use this camera in the field yet since the weather is not the greatest her in cali for most herps so i took a few pics of what i keep, advise and opinions would be welcome. Welcome to the forum. You must be very excited at the amount of detail you can capture with the macro lens as compared to the point-n-shoot you were using up 'til now.Great colours and details on these shots.
Very nice...thats a Emerald Tree boa? Very nice colors....i love snakes. Welcome to the boards, im newbie here myself =)
thank you all for the kind words, and that is a Green tree python they look very simular but Emeralds are found in south america and Green trees are found on New Guinea and some surrounding islands also the Cape York peninsula of Australia:mrgreen:
Great pictures you have there. Can you tell which lens take which photos? You mentioned two lenses up there. Thanks.
all those pics were taken with the Nikor 60mm macro havent really used the 18-55mm much i love the macro though, i need to save a few bucks so i can get a telephoto lens
For those spider pics, I'd need that huge Canon 1200 mm or whatever lens so I could shoot from as far away as possible Forum request..... Put "spiders" in your subject if the post contains spider images. I opened this thread at 5 am this morning and am just now waking up from shock and fear to comment Seriously, great shots. They indeed did make me shiver, hehehe.
