HELP ... Canon XT, XTi, D40 or D80

I'd say pick up a Nikon D50 (that's what I did when I outgrew my Canon S1 IS) or get a D80. You'll probably go over $1000 with the D80, but you won't outgrow it as quickly as you would say a D50. Do not get the D40, it's got a lot of big limitations.

The Canons are good cameras too, just small. I'm a Nikon guy so I'm voting D50/80.
