(Help )Konica Minolta RIVA ZOOm 140 ex, new batteries includes but camera wont turn on

Hello!

I have a Konica Minolta Riva ZOOM 140 ex which was handed down to me recently. I have replaced the batteries, 2x 3V Lithium CR123A. However the camera would not turn on.
Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Yes, the first thing is the get a new start with fresh batteries.
The second thing would be to check and clean all contacts.
