Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm new to posting here although I lurk a lot. I'm currently in a photography class and I need some help deciding which pictures to take to class and "share". We had a field trip to some botanical gardens yesterday and I took so many great shots. Here are the four I think I'm bringing with me to class. C&C welcome

Here is my flickr for the rest of the pics. Thanks for looking!

Compositionally, I think 3 and 4 take it (unless the assignment was more specific). 4 could maybe use just a little pp for my taste, but as is it is deffinitely worth sharing at class as one of the better two. If you are really brave, take 1 and 2 and get good feed back on them. You may learn more by creating the opportunity for critique rather than showing the best work.

Thanks. There was no specific assignment. So these were the 4 that I liked out of all the ones I took. Just curious as to what you were thinking for pp on #4? The class is learning how to use your camera and photography in general so I didn't really want to edit the photos at all as far as those that I bring into class. #2 I know isn't the best but I just thought it was cute the way the bee was sort of peeking around at me, plus I was just excited to get a clear shot of the bee since they don't stay still very long.

To my eye, #4 is a little bright, over exposed for the subject. Easy to do with the slower shutter speed you need to soften the water. Try bringing everything down a little and then bring the highlights back up to keep your water popping.

4 is not bright/overexposed at all (unless it was edited and reposted)

3 and 4 are best. 1 and 2 don't do it for me as far as the comp.

First impressions: (It makes it a lot easier to refer to your images if you number them - thanks) They are not bad - the third one is the best IMHO. My only comment would be on the first one and that is you cropped off the petals in the flower, maybe you were just trying to capture the centre of the flower - don't know - if you were, then it should be the main subject, as it stands, it looks like you tried to capture the flower, but cropped off some of the petals.

I love all of them, but if I had to pick one i'd pick 3,4 They look outstanding! Great job :D

Thank you for the input everyone. WesternGuy, thanks for pointing out the cropping on #1. I hadn't even noticed that which is just my inexperience with photography.
I ended up switching out #1 for this one...my pics were well received but I definitely have a lot to work on.
