help me nail this exposure!

I took this shot the other day on a heavy overcast. I think is turned out good, but there are areas where its overexposed.

the exif seems to be missing(??) so here are the details:

canon xsi
f/2.5
1/60
ISO 800
50 mm f/1.8 canon lens (my only realistic choice for this shot of what i have)
spot metering
shutter priority
auto white balance

its also slightly crooked I see now.

and i adjusted the perspective too much,

but I know how to fix those issues.

You might want to consider HDR for a shot like this.
