Help My 1st photo shoot

Well I got my fist shoot with people in it, I normally shoot sporting events but one of the players wants me to take some photos with him and his girlfriend. Ive never shot this sort of stuff before, I do know its going to be an outdoor shoot prob in the mid afternoon... any help and suggestions for this would be great, ie posing ideas, lighting, lens choice ect...... I dont want to dissapointe

Be sure to let them know that this shoot is your FIRST and you will do your best to deliver.For posing maybe google it and see if you find somthing that will "compliment" the couple mid day is harsh light as a rule I would suggest fill light if in direct sunlight reflector maybe white foam board works well if you dont have one ,open shade just becarefull if there is brite light in the background it will tend to blow out I would avoid having it in your B/G if possible ,and just be fun and creative and maybe trendy Good luck
