Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey guys, haven't been on here in a long while it's been a busy few months. Just finished my as and a level photography but need some help. I'm doing a photoshoot of my friends biking and just need some advice. The only equipment i have is my camera (Sony A200) a tripod and a flash. My pictures to dat have been of an okay standard but i really would like to step it up. I realise that an equipment upgrade is highly needed but i don't have the funds right now. So if any of you have any hints/tips please feel free to let me know. Here is an image of mine and an image of a pro photographer.

The pro is using an ultra wide angle lens - Tokina 11-16 is my guess.

A nice piece of glass and the ultra wide angle adds a bit of interest to the shot.
Looks like there might be some fill flash as well to capture the foreground.

I don't get any exif data from your pic so it's hard to really compare. What lens are you using?
Also, did you photoshop the arms? It looks air brushed.

Between those two........
  • Timing
  • Lighting

Also, please note that if you are not the copyright holder or have permission from the copyright holder, you should provide a link.

My exif reader says the same thing, but look at the sun's location and look at the lighting in front of the bike. If it's not a flash, then it's some other form of lighting.

It ain't natural sunlight ...

Look at the hard shadow of his arm on his pantleg. Flash from up high pointing down.

Almost looks like he was pasted in there too... might be a composite image. Who knows these days.
