Help! Want to buy Xmas gift- don't know about photography?

Hi there.

I don't know anything about photography, but it is my boyfriend's hobbie. I know he is very particular about the equipment he buys, and I would never want to try and "pick" something out for him.

I was thinking maybe I could get him a piece of furniture or something to help him organize or display his stuff?? Do you have any suggestions?

I know he likes to shoot slide film, and he does have a slide viewer, but its something he has to bring in and out of the closet. Is there a NICE stand or something I could get him? Any suggestions would be great.

My wife has the same problem. Does he have a camera store that he goes to regularly? Maybe you could go and talk to one of the sales clerks. If he's a regular I'm sure they would know what he's been looking at.

Find out his favorite film and get him several rolls, maybe a brick of film. It will keep in the fridge or freezer depending on how fast he uses it.
