HELP: which is better: Canon A590 IS or Fujifilm S700(S5700)??

HELLO,
I'm thinking to sell my Canon for buy the Fuji. I want to know, which is better for start with the photography with a "no professional camera (cause they are more expensive)"? .
I think the Canon is so "compact" and the Fuji more artistic, Am I wrong?
