OK, I've read lots of threads on filters, but want opinions from you guys and/or gals. I want a 105mm polarizing filter that mounts to a 100mm filter holder that will be utilized as a 100mm filter holder later. I'm thinking about the Filter Dude rings and holder for the initial set-up and do the ND filters from a higher grade company. Who would you folks recommend to get the NDs from and who would you recommend for a circular polarizing.?

No, I want the 105mm to attach to the 100mm filter holder.

Marumi DHG Super, B+W, Lee, Singh Ray for the CPL.

Lee for the ND filters though the Formatt Hitech Firecrest ones look good as well, though at the moment a set of Lee NDs is going for £40 which is hard to beat.

GNDs either Lee, Formatt Hitech Firecrests or Kood International

weepete, where are the Lees for that price? Thanks

I have the “Colby brown” setup from formatt-hitech. They weren’t cheap, but they work extremely well.

They include a CPL that hooks into the filter adapter. They’re only compatible with filter threads up to 82mm though. So if your lens has a very large front element you may have to get something bigger.

I've decided to go with the Filter Dude's holder and adapter rings. Now, who should I get my polarizing filter from or what brand. The wife has given "US" the go-ahead to go on a landscape photo shoot in north Arkansas the next time we go to our river house so I want to get all my ducks in a row. I'll be using my Nikon D7000 and my Mamiya 645s. This will be the maiden voyage for the 645s. Anyway, enough about gear. Thanks for the help.
