HELP!!!!

i'm an absolute novice...i just got a ZENIT 122 camera.. and i have no idea what the "TABLE OF FILM SPEED UNITS" is ,how to use it or what is does.the manual is not very conclusive...pls guys help me!!!!!!!!!!

I would guess that they are talking about the ASA dial on the left hand side of the camera. It looks like it goes from 16 - 500 in normal increments. ( 16, 25, 50, 64 etc. )
