I have been pondering a camera upgrade for over a year now. Have a trip to Yellowstone NP end of May so need to make a decision.
I've been eyeing the Canon R5 mark ii or the R6 mark ii. I like to shoot a variety of things but probably lean towards wildlife.
I like the MP on the R5 since it gives the ability to crop. I like the low light of the R6 since a lot of wildlife is seen in early morning late evening.
I have a Tamron 150-600 G2 that I would use, but have considered the Canon 200-800. I think the 200-800 would perform a little better on the R6 since it does a little better in low light. I could use the 150-600 with a 1.4 extender and have almost the same reach and a slightly better f stop on the long end. Would the extender negate the slightly better f stop.
Would appreciate any thoughts and opinions on this. Anything that I might not have thought of?
