What's new

here's one from my ride this morning. shot with a point and shoot.

Nice Bike! Last year I was racing CAT-1, one level below semi-pro, on the New York State XC circuit. Sold my bike to fund camera gear and have since gained 35 pounds. You just made me want to get back out and ride! Ugh!

Nice 'golden hour' type light.

It's to bad you positioned the bike in such a way as to negate most of the light's great quality for lighting most of the middle part of the bike. Did it take long to find that hideous, distracting gate(?) to prop the bike up against? The lines of the gate(?) seriously interfere with the lines of the bike.

Lines and shapes everywhere. That twig/stick thing at the back tire could have been moved. Turning the bike so the light shone on it would have been better than the dark/light areas you have on it now. Definitely look at what others have to say about the shot and shoot again at/near the same area. I think you will be pleased much more with the outcome.

I wasnt going for photo quality so much just a shot of the trail. ill take more tomorrow and see if I can't do better.

I have no doubt you will do better. I really like the angle it was shot from. Nice focus on the bike and I LOVE the rough OOF foreground of rocks. Those work very well compositionally with this shot. You have some talent it just needs to be refined with C&C and practice. Keep shooting!
