Herons

Since some year, white and grey herons are passing the winter also in my area (having lunch in crop and grass fields). In the last few days I tried to take some picture of one of them, which is very often is the same place (field between two roads). When I go too close, it is flying away, but after some minute is back.
As these are my first attempts to nature shoots, I'm learning that shooting a white object in the wrong light can be difficult : I went out from the first day with a number of badly taken pictures, with harsh lights and a sort of halo around the heron.
Today I went slightly before, sun was slightly covered, I underexposed a little and took better pictures, however when it starts flying I've not been sufficiently quick to go back to normal (so I had to recover from dark obtaining some noise in the sky). Pictures are taken some with 55-250IS, some with Super Takumar 200/4 at 5.6-8.
All 100% crops, I cannot go closer than this.
