Thx guys!
Here copule of my photos from Amsterdam trip
Be honest as you can

it was shot with sony rx100
To be honest I'm probably not the one to judge someone else's photo's. That first photo of the dog you really got the eye focused. but left the dog looking at a wall. Were it me I'd have thrown out a sucking kiss to the do to have it look at me. Looking at the wall there nothing to think about. but most normal photo sizes leave you hanging there. I have shot a lot of dog at field trials and training and something finally occurred to me. People see in panoramic so in photo like that get the dog looking in a direction there something to look for. We see in portrait photo's people looking off to the side or some other direction but normally they look into the camera. With my dogs when I print I always try to crop making the dog look at something other than a blank wall. You'll notice people take a lot of them with the dog sidewise to the camera looking at the wall on the nose end and absolutely nothing on the butt end! To see that look at your last photo, the white dog. It's nose is up against the wall and it got lot's of mty nothing on it butt end.
Speaking of seeing. I noticed that horizontal deal and tried a few different things to fix it so it would look sort of natural to a human the see's thing horizontally. My Snicker.
Notice there's not a bunch of excess space behind him. Just as well as the story is in front of him, it's a bird! There's room in front which should take you to the front wondering what he's pointing at. I noticed the same thing can occur in landscape type photo's. If I'm doing a house or some type older building I get it from a corner and leave a shorter opening on the side the house is pointing away from and wider on the other. Looking at it, it takes your eyes from the short side to the wide side.
Next is another of Snicker early in training.
You notice the rope, needed oon a young dog his age here. But disregard the rope and his butt side ls pretty much against the wall and his nose side is pointing down and away from him. If your into pointing dogs the place to see the bird is that clump of grass straight in front of his nose.
Last one, my Abby in training.
That thing behind her is where the bird bird flew away from her at an angle from her left. her body indicates the direction the bird is flying and her head fine tunes that, going away on the direction of the lower right corner of the photo. Notice the room there but none excessive on her butt end!
