Hey Everyone!

Thank you very much for having me here on your forum! I'm new to both Thephotoforum, and to photography, and am hoping to learn as much as I can from some of the more experienced photographers around.

I just bought my first camera, and wen't with a Nikon Coolpix P530. I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for, but just about everything I read indicated that it was a solid all around gateway camera, Especially as it fit my budget (I purchased it factory refurbished for $150 with a 90 day warrantee).

I'm a New Englander, Backpacker, and all around outdoorsmen excited to explore photography in the forests of the North East.

I look forward to reading your posts and exploring this site.
