I'm not sure what kind of ant this is.
He's a bit larger than a common fire ant.
Maybe about 1/8 of an inch longer, or so.
Still messin with it in post.

Neat ant - though looks like he's running away! Tricky devils to get them still, nearly always moving around when I see them.

This reminds me that I still need to get a hip-flask specifically for carrying sugar water around with my (tried honey and whilst it works it can be somewhat messy and - overall - distracting when taking pics)

Yep, he was tough Mr. Overread.
They never stop. This one is unlike any ant I've ever seen.
He senses movement and hides. It was a strange thing, as ants go.
Not sure what kind of ant this is but the senses are keen.
