Thought I'd post a picture I made at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs a few weeks ago after a fresh snow.

helluva nice picture by which to introduce yourself. absolutely gorgeous.
great composition, contrast, colors, everything. i'm interested to hear the answer to voodoocat's question- medium format? cropped digital?

Sorry. Sony 717 digital with a Hoya circular polarizer and a tripod. Just used auto exposure. This was looking south in late afternoon on an unusually hazy day for here. A good bit of cropping to frame the picture and a little editing for contrast and color but the overall look is pretty realistic. The angle of the light and the haze made it a good bit "cooler" than most of the warm redrock pictures I get.

hi doc!
welcome to the forum too! heck of nice shot there!

I was there 3 years ago and noticed that in nearly all my shots i had to crop out the commercial developments surrounding the garden.

It really is a cool place though, and I love your photo!
