This tall, impressive structure on the promenade at Blackpool, Lancashire, plays twice daily. Projecting from the sea wall are tubes linked to the organ pipes. The air in them is compressed by the waves, making the organ play. Interesting to look at, fun to listen to!

That's awsome how the tide makes it play!

Good photo too, the lights lead the eye right up to the organ.

Thanks for the comments folks. I grabbed this shot using the only bit of sunlight that appeared during a particularly dark run of days. The reflections off the wet concrete were welcome on this occasion!

Yes, apart from the most interesting object ("subject"?) which I would love to hear "play" one day (honestly!), the illuminated wet surface of the promenade and the lit up benches help "making" this photo!

(I was THINKING this yesterday already, by the way. Never spoke out loud what I was thinking, though, don't know why :scratch: ).
