Hi All,

I recently took a trip back to Florida to visit my family and snapped this pic about 15 minutes before sunrise. Hope you like it!

Fair enough, I might lose some shadow on the bottom...there's just a lot of debris and pipeline under it, so I didn't want it to take away from the water/sunrise!

i hate when ugly things are in the way of what is otherwise a wonderful scene.

I like it and don't have an issue with the darkness under the pier. The nitpicky thing that I would bring up is the size and opacity of your watermark. IMHO, it could be smaller and more opaque, so that it doesn't stand out and take away from a wonderful photo.

Sounds about right, Ron! I am gonna change the whole watermark anyway to something much more subtle.

I don't like the centered horizon as much as I did in your other shot. The perspective on this shot needs to be higher in my opinion, but obviously unless you brought your stepladder to the beach, it probably wasn't much of an option.

A square crop might actually look okay with this shot.

I hope you don't mind but I took a shot similar to this a while ago that I exposed for some of the pier. It obviously is very subjective.

I do enjoy the detail on the underside of your pier. Although, since it's all wooden (your pier) it looks a bit nicer than the PVC pipe/debris on the bottom of mine. I agree though with lightening the shadows a little bit and will give it a try when I get home! I'll repost later!

Given the circumstances I do understand with you left it the way you did. I was speaking more or less in generalities.

Alright- I gave the pier a little edit and a lift in shadows so you can see more of the wood and rust. Let me know what you think and if you enjoy it better than the original!

It is subjective obviously but I do feel like this is better. :thumbup:
