Hoar Frost on Saugeen River

It's colder than a..... out there! This morning there was hoar frost so I went to the river to take some shots. I used a red filter in the conversion to darken the sky and enhance the frost, I was quite pleased with how the pine bows at the top turned out!

A rather surreal quality to this one. I quite like it. Have you tried a IR conversion?

Thanks all! I'd have to say I picked the perfect timing to go out and shoot, any later and the shadow I'm shooting from would have been mostly gone and the detail in branches at the top would have been lost in the light, in the shade they are back lit juuuuuust enough imho

I would like to see a bit more detail in the foreground. Maybe dodge the mid-tones a bit?

I find the green makes the hoar less frosty.
