Here's a sculpture that the Locklin Technical welding class did.

It sits at the entrance of the school.

The orange ground cover is actually that orange,
the only PS'ing done was a touch of contrast.

I would say you have learned a little about composition along the way. The foreground at the very bottom makes a very nice step over feature to the shot. Adds depth..
