Holy Bug Bokeh Batman!

The "real" picture is still in progress (read I haven't got the shot I want yet lol) but holy bugs Batman!!





They are just thick, most of the bigger ones are over the river, they fly straight up about 2 ft then drop down repeatedly but teeny tiny ones cover the field too.

While they are cool there are Mosquitos and black flies in there, it's been pretty wet this spring and the numbers are crazy, I have the bites to prove it lol

Probably Ephemerella dorothea-AKA Pale Evening Dun. But it could be Ephemera simulans-AKA Brown Drake.

Can I just think of them as tiny fairies? It makes me feel less itchy. Can't wait to see when you get the shot you are looking for here.

They do both hatch at the same time of year and day. Wouldn't surprise me.
