Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So, this church is actually called Holy Hill. It's in south central Wisconsin. Since we had a 75 deg. (that's Fahrenheit for you metric users) October day (thank god for global warming..) I strapped the tripod to the back of the motorcycle and rode up there. These were the only three that turned out well enough to edit. C&C appreciated.

1. Outside. Not sure I nailed the coloring on this one...

2. Inside 1

3. Inside 2 - This one is my favorite of the three.

This is also my first time posting with flicker. Something doesn't seem right. When I posted with Photobucket, the images didn't resize quite as much. But the quality is waaaay better with flicker... Anyway, thanks for looking.

EDIT: Ha! I figured out how to post what ever size photo I wan't now with flicker, just takes some creative editing of the image code. Ef you flicker!

just go to actions, view all sizes, select the size you want, right click, copy image location and paste it into the add image dialog box. Simple.
I really don't understand why so many people have issues with that.

Nice shots btw. What is that tent over the chair for? Kinda looks like a carnival tent or something.

lol. It was in the mid 80's here in Mo. High of 87 tomorrow.

Nice shots, btw. I love the detail that older churches have. You could go to the "Old Cathedral" in St. Louis to take pictures a hundred times and still be able to find interesting, beautiful subjects.

When I right click on the image, my only option is to copy the URL. The URL won't display the image in the thread, it has to be an image code, right?. What I found, was all you have to do is edit the to [img] on the copied link, and t...Maybe it's for a ritualistic clown sacrifice!

when you open the image you will see two buttons above to the left, one marked "actions" and one marked "share this". Click on the "actions" button and a drop down menu appears. Go down to "view all sizes" and you will be taken to a page showing the large version of the image along with links to all of the other sizes. Right click the image and select "copy image location".

I discovered part of the problem, it's a browser issue. I use Google Chrome, which doesn't have the same right click menu options Firefox or IE do. On Google Chrome, the only options that appear are "save image as", "copy URL", "copy image", "open image in new tab" and "inspect element". The "copy image location" doesn't exist on Google Chrome. "Copy URL" does, and it is the same function. However, all either does is put a hyperlink in your message. It still doesn't host the image. So you get the following:

In order to get it to host the image, you have to add the bracketed "img" code to either end, like this;
Then it should host the image, like this.

If there is some other magical way to do it, I must be missing it.

It's also possible to click "Share" and navigate to HTML. Hit Large (or whatever size you want to use), then just copy the actual .jpg link in the text.

It's not a browser issue, Chrome supports right click image linking.

I think you're just doinitrong.

Click the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the photo on flickr, then click view all sizes, select the size you want (probably the largest dimensions it saves to the site) and then right click > copy image URL. That should work.

From there on you should be able to just hit the little camera/picture button above the reply box and then CTRL+V the link. Voila, you have a photo ready to be displayed properly on TPF.

Ha! That's the little step I was missing! My computer skills are just fine, but I didn't know about this little icon. Though, all it actually does is add the

like I was doing manually. But thanks for pointing it out. Makes things easier, for sure. I think Scatterbrained eluded to the icon earlier, but I was on a different train of thought than he was and just wasn't seeing it... Sorry, Scatterbrained, I'm sure you were ready to throw your mouse at the monitor followed by select curse words relating to my level of intelligence.

Thanks again for spelling it out... Ever have one of those days U wundre howe ewe maked it thew hi skool and cawlege?...

Now that this issue is settled, any other thoughts on the pics? Do the colors seem over done on the first one?
