I'm an amateur so take this with a grain of salt.

If I were the parent of this little girl, I think it would have been nice if she were smiling. From experience of shooting babies, I know this is a tough thing to accomplish. The bow could be turned the other way to hide the silver bit, and if you tilted your camera 1 or 2 degrees to the left, you wouldn't have the awkward space on the right and lack of that on the left, but I'm really nitpicking with that. I think you could have stopped down a little in order to get her right (our left) foot in focus along with her ear and hair.

On the other hand, the cupcake looks good with the dress and her bow, so I really like that addition. The girl, although she isn't smiling, still looks interested in the shot, which is huge with little kids.

Looking in her eyes, it looks like you used the key light high camera right and fill high camera left. I think that the fill could have been lowered a little bit, to brighten the shadow beneath her neck and near her right (our left) ear.

I feel like this was a little harsh, but I'm being a little critical. It's still a great shot of a cute girl!
