Where should be the horizon be placed if you are taking landscapes etc.

Depends what you want to capture. If the sky is an important part of the shot, place the horizon line on the bottom line of the Rule of Thirds. If the foreground and land itself is important, place it on the top line. Landscapes rarely look good with the horizon in the middle.

Same principle. If the sky is dramatic, place it on the bottom line, if you want to show the beach, place it on the top line. :thumbup:
