IMO she looks really out of proportion here, and I should have left the sky it's natural colours

I know nothing about depth of focus or composition, I know a vague bit about lighting and that is all :blushing:

That's a lot of pics for C&C... hard to spend much time on each one. I recommend picking one or two for us to focus on.

#1-I don't like the glow
#2-I like but maybe could use a little more contrast
#3-overall it looks a little washed out, more contrast?
#4-could use some more cropping on the left edge
#5-nice shot in this group

I'm not much to critique, but #4 caught my eye and was my favorite.

All of these are unflattering angles to take photos of horses at. The eye ones are a bit cliche. Also, your rope halter is tied incorrectly, and does not fit.

Get off to the side a more, and get above her head a little. For a side on shot, get even with mid-barrel (for conformation shots). Taking photos from below the muzzle is a cool effect, but not one to use if you're trying to make the subject look pretty.

Google photos of famous stallions, and see what poses they use to get a flattering picture of their animals. (don't count TBs in that group, a lot of those pictures are of aged stallions, and they never tend to look very good.) Here, let me get you started:
