Hot shoe mic extension/goose neck

Hi all,

I have a really awesome videography setup now, I'm just missing the audio component. I use a lavalier mic, but it's impractical for my purposes (I need a wireless solution, and good wireless lavs run a huge cost). And a Lavalier is not what I want in a lot of cases.

So I'm looking at getting a shotgun mic for a couple of hundred dollars, but I want to have the freedom to move it around and extend it - sometimes I will need it as much as 4 feet in front of the camera.

Any sort of "goose neck" would be awesome where I can freely rotate the mic.
