How about some Holiday pics?

I was bored tonight, so while the wife was watching television and feeding the baby, I decided to break out the tripod and take some pics of the Christmas tree. I tried a number of things, but this is the one that just caught me. Perhaps I'm tired, but I like of like this shot for some reason.

I like it too, and have one of my tree that is very similar!
Try a smaller aperture as well, it will make the lights look like stars!

It's nice. Pictures of Christmas trees are not exactly easy to pull off.

Our fireplace is completely shut off so we use candles instead. And Simon is one of the cats. I made that stocking for him maybe... 9 years ago? (He's 14)
Unfortunately, the top/bottom of this picture got cut off when I straightened it. Oh well. Not my best, but it certainly helps me feel festive.

And yes, I have a lot of cat ornaments. They're all from my mom, given to me over the past decade or so.
