How do I make HDR pictures?

I know i have to put pictures that are over exposed and under exposed and make them one...but how do i do that?

I tried layering pictures on fotoflexer but it just didnt look right....

If there is a software i have to use, is there a cheap version or is it just cheap? anything over 50 dollars is not considered cheap on my budet.

You can download a free 30 day trial of photoshop if you want. look at the other Adobe products as well, Lightroom, Aperture, Elements. There's lots and they are all good, they just have varying levels of features

Photomatix can be used for free, it just leaves about 3 watermarks on the image. I believe the free version of the software allows use of all the features of the full paid version, just with that watermark.

there are several other programs available. most have trial periods,
check them out and find one that fits your budget.

there is artizen and another program called, oops slipped my mind.
just use google and a lot of stuff should pop up as this has become a very popular technique.

You need to understand the basics of exposure first. I'd start with your camera manual, and then check out numerous beginning photography websites. It's not complicated, but it's going to take some self-education effort.

I have been asking the same question. I found this program that is a little better priced and seems to do a lot. May not be as good as the other program but it's a start for less $$$$.

CS3. Go to you tube and search for HDR tutorials. It's pretty darn easy.
