How do you boost saturation OOC (i.e., without going raw) on a bright, sunny day?

if you cant shoot during golden hour, and cant do it in post, you can always try using a off camera flash if your subject allows for it.

Saturation is overrated. Why not leave it as it is?

Most post-processing software have a Saturation slider.

I should have been more specific. I'm looking for ways to do it out of camera, without using RAW or doing PP. I've edited my OP.

I often find myself in a situation where I have to take a lot of photos for friends, colleagues or other kids. I want to take nice photos out of camera and just distribute them immediately through online sharing without having to do any PP.

You want more saturation then what the camera will produce but you dont want to put in more work in post. Seems rather impossible to me.

Even in film days people did things in post to enhance the photos.

If you have photoshop (or get PS if you dont have it) you can batch process files together. It really doesnt take that long.

And shoot raw at all times! Why else do you have it.

I agree with Joe, don't be afraid to shoot RAW. You will be able to get so much more from your photos and it doesn't take that much more time to do the processing. The time it does take is well worth it. I edit almost everything in LR4, with a little setup its fast, easy and you get awesome results.

Then JPEG is your only option.

But you need to know, JPEG only has an 8-bit color depth. About 80% of the color information your camera records (the Raw image data) has to be discarded to make a JPEG image file.

Out of camera, without PP? Are you sure you don't mean in camera? Anything you do out of camera is PP.
