Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
hey guys, i've notice many night shots with 30 min exposure and i reeaaalllyy wanna know how the hell do you guys do it. i've been trying to get star trails but my camera only goes up to 1min. can someone help?

What camera do you use? Lot of cameras don't allow high timers, and if you are not using a DSLR then you won't be able to do long-time exposures.

You might read the camera user's manual and/or become familiar with your camera's specifications.

After spending 2 minutes online, it looks like your camera does have a 'Bulb' mode, but the time is limited to no more than about 4 minutes.

He is using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10.

So you do have bulb mode available. However, shooting it without a remote is going to be...impossible. I would figure out how to set it to bulb first (your manual/online sources), then look into buying a 15$ remote so you can accomplish 30m exposures. I'd get one that you didn't have to hold the button the entire time lol (oh and a good tripod).[/TD]

Was going to suggest a locking shutter release, and read it on the link above:
All you need to photograph star trails is a camera with lens that can do time
exposures (on 'B' or Bulb mode), a cable release or lockable shutter release,
and a tripod. I recommend using an SLR camera.

Shoot well, Joe

This part is very important, do not try without it =)

You need to have a bulb setting and probably a remote shutter control.
