How much would I get from Adorama for selling the Nikon 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses?

They have been lightly used and are in excellent condition.

My next investment is the Nikon 17-55mm/2.8G. Saving up slowly but surely. I figured I won't need the 18-55mm anymore after this. And I got the 55-200mm thinking I'd use it all the time but I've used it maybe once. It's a great inexpensive lens but I just don't have much need for it.

I would ask Adorama... we don't set their prices.

$30 for the 18-55 and $75 for the 55-200.

I have no idea, really, but when I got a quote from Shutterbug here (a local chain) that was what they offered. I ended up selling them on craigslist.

Lots of people have those lenses because they are consumer grade kit lenses. Consequently, there are a lot of them for sale, but most people buy them new, in a kit rathe than buying them used.

The law of supply and demand works such that if there is a large supply, coupled with little demand, sellers have to offer a low price to move the item.

Adorama willl offer you less than what they expect they can sell the lenses for.
