How to add a soft glow to the flower?

does anyone know how to create that soft effect on the flower in photoshop? this is the original and it seemed like a good photo to try that effect on.

The strong sunlight is creating havoc with the overall lighting. Not sure if it can be saved. I"m assuming that you're looking for a final result as though it was a overcast day with cloudy diffused light.

Wait for clouds, they'll soften the lighting.
