How to best use Flickr

Sooooo, I am really a newb... I searched Flickr and not much came up in the area of what I am asking which is... What is its primary use??

Storage ?

Sharing?

Organizing?


I mean should it be used as another form of backup or just as a means of sharing. I have lightroom so I could upload from there too I guess.. Will it keep everything organized for me that way??

I guess I will just giver her a go .. Maybe I sorta answered a couple of my questions for myself lol:blushing:.


Still, do people upload ALL their photos or just some of them they want to share?

Flickr is an online host for sharing, and socializing in a photo oriented arena. It's fun and fairly cheap. It's not so much a place for online storage and I only post photos I want to share.

Ok thanks,, I just configured my lightroomand uploaded a few things so I got that figured out anyway lol...
