How to convert your image to text?

I want to convert image to text, someone please recommend me a useful tool or website for this.

Wow I remember before we had all these digital cameras and good computers, there was something that would make a photo into an image, which was all letters and numbers. Pretty neat effect because we could print the image on a dot matrix printer. I don't remember if a daisy wheel would do that. But if I understand the question, it's a document that uses ASCII characters to make something that looks like an image.

If that's not it, I'm just going back to days in the dark past, before digital cameras where making photo quality images.

And again, if I don't understand I apologize.
